Éamon Ó Cuív T.D., Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, today announced that he has sanctioned CLÁR funding of €18,500 under the CLÁR Village and Countryside Enhancement Scheme for projects in County Leitrim.
This CLÁR funding, together with funding from Arigna Catchment Area Community Company Ltd, the Local Authority and local contribution brings the total funding for the project to €55,516.
This funding will facilitate enhancements in the following villages:
Mohill (ED Mohill) - Landscaping and garden seating.
Rossinver (ED Ballaghameehan) - Removal of hedge & bank and provision of footpath.
Leitrim Village (ED Leitrim) - Provision of church park with lighting & dustbins.
Glencar (ED Glencar) – Road resurfacing.
Carrigallen (ED Carrigallen West) - Provision of access to Tully Lake.
Note:
This scheme provides funding for the enhancement of villages and settlements in CLÁR areas through small-scale infrastructure as follows:
33.33% up to a maximum of €33,333 to be funded by CLÁR
16.66% up to a maximum of €16,666 to be funded by the LEADER Group
16.66% up to a maximum of €16,666 matching local contribution.
33.33% to be funded by the County Council. In the event of a project costing more than €100,000, the excess private funding can be sourced from either the local contribution and /or the Local Authority.
