On 23rd February 2006, Ministers Ó Cuív and Roche announced that they had allocated €482,660 to County Cavan for expenditure on local roads projects. These projects in CLÁR areas are co-funded by the Department of Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs and the Department of the Environment, Heritage and Local Government. The total national amount available for this programme in 2006 is €6m.
Each local authority may fund local secondary and tertiary Council roads and bridges projects from its allocation.
This year Cavan County Council has selected 11 road and 2 bridge projects.
A list of these projects is available from the Press and Information Office.
