Finance Division

Our Department’s Finance Division is made up of the following areas:

• Management Information Framework (MIF) Project Management Unit. (Mespil Road, D4 Tel: 01-6473000)

Accounts Branch 

Relocated to Tubbercurry following the Decentralisation process, this section provides a payment service for all Departmental accounts and produces the Annual Appropriation Account, which is subject to audit by the Comptroller and Auditor General http://www.audgen.gov.ie.  

Finance Unit 

This is a coordination unit for the Department responsible for Financial Management and Public Financial Procedures.

Meetings coordinated by the Finance unit include:

• The Dáil Select Committee on Arts, Sport, Tourism, Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs regarding the Abridged Estimates Volume and Revised Estimates Volume and
• the Secretary General’s appearances before the Committee of Public Accounts in relation to the Department’s Appropriation Accounts.

The Abridged Estimates Volume and Revised Estimates Volume are available on the Department of Finance website. 

The unit also coordinates the Departments response to the BMW Regional Assembly and the S&E Regional Assembly under the National Development Plan (NDP).

MIF Unit

This is the project management unit within the department and its function is to develop and maintain the Department’s Financial Management Information System and provide support to the Department in relation to Public Procurement procedures.  The Unit also maintains the Department’s register of consultancies.
