To promote and support the development of communities
and to advance the use of the Irish language.
The Department of Community, Equality and Gaeltacht Affairs is currently developing and preparing its Statement of Strategy for the three-year period from 2011 to 2013, and as part this process we are consulting with stakeholders and clients.
Our Strategy Statement for the period 2011 to 2013 will focus primarily on the key commitments in the Programme for Government, Revised Programme for Government and the other Government strategies. Your input and views would be very welcome regarding any strategic issues that in your view should be identified and prioritised in our Strategy Statement.
The Department’s business areas and mandate includes:

• Promotion and Maintenance of the Irish Language
